What is the ForwardMotion bike loan scheme?
ForwardMotion is an initiative to encourage people to think differently about the way they travel around south Essex. We help people make travel choices that don’t involve a car, and are working with Active Cycling Projects to deliver a bike loan scheme. Under the scheme, you can choose to rent a regular bike, electric bike and additional cycling equipment.
How much does hiring a bike cost?
Hiring a bike is a great way to find out if cycling is a good travel option for you. Prices start from as little as £25 per month. If you rent the bike for six months, at the end you’ll have the option to buy the bike for a discounted price, and spread the cost over 12 months.
To be eligible to hire a bike, you must live in south Essex and be over 18 years old.
