How it Works

1. Are you eligible?

You must must be over 18 years old and live within one of the following postcodes to take part in the bike loan scheme. SS0, SS1, SS2, SS3, SS4, SS5, SS6, SS7, SS8, SS9, SS11, SS12, SS13, SS14, SS15, SS16, SS17, RM16, RM17, RM18, RM19, RM20, CM11, CM12.

2. Choose your bike

Find out what bikes you can choose from on the ‘Our Bikes’ page. All bikes are suitable to ride on the road and firm surfaces.

3. Choose length of rental

You can rent a bike from a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 6 months.

4. Sign up

Register your interest in taking part in the scheme using our on-line form. An advisor will then contact you to confirm your registration.

5. Pay your first month's rental

All rental payments are processed on-line. If you are renting for more than one month we normally ask you to pay by direct debit.

6. Agree delivery of your bike

We will agree a time to deliver the bike to your home or work address, provided this is within the south Essex area. You will be shown how the bike and equipment operates and the bike will be adjusted to fit you.

Keep the bike clean and in good condition. Always ensure that the bike is locked securely when you are not riding it.

During and after the loan we want to know how you have been getting on with cycling and using the bike. We may be emailing some short surveys for you to complete.

We maintain the bikes during the rental, so if you experience any problems or issues with the bike then please contact us

At the end of the rental we will arrange with you the return of the bike. Make sure it is clean and in good condition.

Don't want to give the bike back? You can buy the bike so you don't have to! You will get all your rental payments taken off the price of the bike, receive a generous discount, and be able to spread the remaining balance over a further 6 to 12 months.

3. Buy a different bike

If you have enjoyed cycling but don't want to buy the bike you rented, then we can also source through our suppliers a wider selection of bikes for you. You will still get the rental payments you have made taken off the price of the bike and be able to spread the cost over 6 to 12 months.
